Exports of Moldovan IT services exceeded $600 million in the first nine months of 2025, increasing by 23% compared to the same period in 2024 and generating more than a quarter of Moldova's total service exports - the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization

As noted by the Ministry, Moldova's IT sector is accelerating exports and strengthening our country's position in international markets. In January-September 2025, Moldova's IT sector exports amounted to more than $600 million and generated more than a quarter of Moldova's total service exports for the period. Compared to the same period last year, IT service exports grew by 23%, reflecting the growing competitiveness of digital solutions developed in Moldova on international markets. The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization emphasized that this confirms the transformation of the IT sector from a dynamic sector into a strategic pillar of the national economy. In addition to its significant contribution to the trade balance, the IT sector creates high-paying jobs, stimulates innovation, and attracts investment.
