In March 2026, a Moldovan-Swiss business forum will be held in Zurich to establish new direct contacts between entrepreneurs from both countries

This was discussed during a meeting between Moldovan Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu and Swiss Ambassador to Moldova Felix Baumann. The parties discussed Moldovan-Swiss cooperation, based on numerous projects that directly impact the lives of citizens, as well as opportunities for developing investment relations between the two countries. The Prime Minister noted that our countries have become even closer in recent years, and the activities of the Cooperation Office opened in Chisinau strengthen Switzerland's support aimed at improving the well-being of the Moldovan population. Alexandru Munteanu noted that the government's priority is to revitalize the economy and attract investors, including Swiss ones, to the national economy. To establish direct contacts between entrepreneurs, a Moldovan-Swiss business forum will be held in Zurich in March 2026. As noted, Switzerland offers our country grant financial assistance under the Swiss Cooperation Programme 2025–2028 to improve good governance and social cohesion, economic development and resilience, healthcare, and local public services. Furthermore, based on a memorandum signed earlier this year with the Ministry of Health, Switzerland has made a significant contribution to the modernization of maternity hospitals and emergency services. Officials also mentioned the Agreement on Combating Corruption and Asset Recovery, the Free Trade Agreement, and the social agreement, which will allow more than 10,000 Moldovan citizens residing in Switzerland to receive pensions and other social benefits for years of work in both countries. Cooperation in reforming public services, as well as in agriculture and tourism, was also discussed during the talks.// 01.12.2025 — InfoMarket
