Moldova's Customs Service discussed new aspects of the application of preferential rules of origin with business representatives
According to the agency, in particular, in the context of the new provisions applicable in the field of preferential origin of goods, the “North” Customs Bureau held online discussions that brought together customs officials authorized to certify and issue certificates of origin of goods, representatives of the business community, and customs representatives involved in their processing. The discussions focused on the practical application of Decision No. 1/2023 of the Joint Committee of the Regional Convention on Pan-Euro-Mediterranean Preferential Rules of Origin, the examination of typical situations and problems that may arise in the process of certifying the origin of goods, as well as the relevant legal framework. At the same time, the importance of consultation and dialogue with the business community was emphasized as a key element in preventing possible errors and inconsistencies in the process of certifying the origin of goods.
