Moldova is hosting its first national competition, the Moldovan Hospitality Awards 2025, to recognize achievements in the HoReCa sector

This key event, dedicated to recognizing achievements, professionalism, and innovation in the Moldovan HoReCa industry, is organized by the National Association of Restaurants and Entertainment Venues of Moldova (MĂR) in partnership with the National Tourism Office, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture. The event aims to highlight the contribution of industry experts who daily cultivate a genuine hospitality culture, promoting local values, creativity, and high standards both nationally and internationally. The competition covers the entire HoReCa industry spectrum—from restaurants, cafes, hotels, guesthouses, and wineries to suppliers, related services, and sustainable initiatives. Nominees were evaluated by a jury of 31 independent experts—representatives of businesses, specialized media, and professional organizations—based on clear criteria: service quality, customer experience, innovation, sustainability, and local impact. The evaluation system ensures transparency and takes into account key elements: service quality, originality of the concept, sustainability, brand communication and customer satisfaction, promoting the Moldovan hospitality brand at the national level. Moldovan Hospitality Awards is a platform that highlights the entrepreneurial spirit and passion for creating authentic experiences. The event aims to promote best practices and inspire the next generation of HoReCa professionals. In the context of increasing global competition and the pursuit of sustainable development, this competition provides a prestigious platform to recognize those who shape Moldova’s image as a leading tourism and gastronomic destination in the region. The competition will culminate in the Moldova Hospitality Awards 2025 Gala on December 5th. It will recognize the winners of 21 categories, as well as the achievements of industry leaders who inspire with their professionalism, creativity and dedication. Over 300 guests are expected to attend the event - entrepreneurs, top managers, renowned chefs, suppliers, government representatives and international partners - making it a key annual event for the HoReCa industry. The event aims to recognize professional excellence and achievements in the HoReCa sector and increase the visibility of local brands in Moldova. Additionally, the MĂR Association, in partnership with The Project Moldova, plans to hold a charity event with the participation of all gala guests, aimed at supporting children from rural areas. In anticipation of the winter holidays, over 1,000 vulnerable children will receive gifts and magical moments, reflecting the HoReCa industry's commitment not only to economic development but also to strengthening social cohesion. Through the Moldovan Hospitality Awards 2025 National Competition, the MĂR Association asserts its role as a driver of development, collaboration, and professionalism, providing the industry not only with healthy competition but also a platform for growth and inspiration. The event will strengthen Moldova's image on the international tourism and gastronomic map and increase trust in the professionalism and quality of the national hospitality industry.// 19.11.2025 — InfoMarket.
