New restrictions on smoking and e-cigarette use will take effect in Moldova on June 24

These amendments to the Law on Tobacco Control are aimed at strengthening public protection from exposure to tobacco smoke and aerosols generated by the use of tobacco and related products. According to the National Agency for Public Health, the new regulations ban all products that emit smoke or aerosols: regular cigarettes, e-cigarettes, heated tobacco systems, hookahs, and other similar devices. The law also prohibits nicotine pouches for oral use. Smoking is prohibited in all enclosed and semi-enclosed public places, workplaces, educational and healthcare institutions, sports facilities...
