Moldova’s National Agency for Public Health (ANSP) on Mondays will assign a certain COVID-19 hazard code to each administrative-territorial unit of the country.

According to the latest decision of the National for Public Health Emergency Commission (CNESP), within 48 hours from the assignment of a certain hazard code, local commissions will have to take action, but in accordance with the rules approved by CNESP. This epidemiological map will be publicly available. Let us recall that from October 1, the country will apply a differentiated approach to determining epidemiological risks in Moldova’s settlements. When the cumulative incidence of COVID-19 will be up to 50 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants in the last 7 days, a "green" hazard code will be introduced the administrative-territorial unit. This level of readiness provides for the mandatory wearing of a protective mask in all closed public places, including public transport, compliance with the social distance of at least 1 m and hygiene rules, as well as compliance with basic rules in catering, trade, in markets and shopping centers, in beauty salons and hairdressing salons, gyms, fitness centers, churches. The "yellow" hazard code (50-99 cases per 100 thousand population) provides several scenarios for organizers of private events, scientific meetings, conferences, seminars, for concert halls, theaters, cinemas, nightclubs and discos - hosting a limited number of guests, depending on the area of the institution, or no restrictions, but with the presentation of a COVID certificate. For the "orange" zone (100-249 cases per 100 thousand population), the presentation of a COVID certificate in such institutions and at such events will be mandatory, while the organizers will be able to receive only a limited number of visitors. The "red" hazard code (more than 250 cases per 100 thousand population) provides that access to any catering establishments, private events, sports centers, cultural events, performances will be possible only with a COVID certificate, and the permissible number of visitors will be still less than with the "orange" hazard code. At the same time, the "red" hazard code implies the suspension of activities in entertainment zones and amusement parks, nightclubs and dance floors, a ban on performances, concerts, festivals in open areas, holding scientific conferences and other similar events online and transferring to remote learning at universities and colleges. General educational institutions, regardless of the assigned risk level, will continue to operate as usual. It is worth noting that a COVID certificate presupposes the presence of one of the supporting documents: a certificate of full vaccination against coronavirus, a negative result of an express test for COVID-19 (in 48 hours), or a PCR test (in 72 hours), a medical report confirming that the person suffered COVID-19 during the last 15-180 days (6 months) or confirmation of the presence of antibodies to COVID-19. Depending on the development of the situation, after October 18, instead of a COVID certificate, a requirement for a certificate of vaccination might be introduced. At the same time, it is stipulated that if the number of cases at the national level exceeds 350 people per 100 thousand of the population, CNESP will have to notify the National Emergency Situations Commission within 24 hours of the need to introduce emergency state throughout the country. // 23.09.2021 - InfoMarket.
