COVID-19 "red" code is in effect in Chisinau, but the rules for visiting cultural and entertainment events introduced by the National Commission have not been approved.
The Municipal Emergency Healthcare Commission took note of the National Emergency Healthcare Commission’s decision on the introduction of the state of emergency in healthcare on the territory of Moldova, including the municipality of Chisinau, until October 30. The commission stated that the level of coronavirus infection in the territory of Chisinau municipality has increased over the past 14 days to 300 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, which corresponds to the "red" code regarding the coronavirus spread. The commission retained the epidemiological rules that were in force until now: in closed public places, at public transport stops, at all outdoor events, at public events, it is necessary to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth, as well as maintain the social distance of 1 m. Shopping malls, food service establishments and public service establishments should be provided with conditions for hand disinfection and hygiene. The commission recommended avoiding crowded events and keeping a distance at public events. At the same time, the local commission ignored the rules introduced by the national commission on admission to theatrical performances, concerts, festivals, discos, clubs, etc. (availability of a certificate of complete vaccination, or a negative PCR test or express test, or a medical certificate of the contracted virus no more than 180 days ago). By order of the commission, the Social Protection and Health Department is organizing a tender for the purchase of tests for free diagnostics of pedagogical and non-pedagogical personnel of educational institutions of primary and secondary education in Chisinau, and before the tests, employees of pre-university education institutions will be tested free of charge from the available stocks of tests provided and purchased by the mayor's office. The commission recommended the heads of the mayoralty departments, budgetary institutions, private and state enterprises to re-inform their employees about the need for vaccination against coronavirus and recommended that they allow employees to be vaccinated during working hours. // 14.09.2021 - InfoMarket
