Moldova: 579 people have contracted the coronavirus over the past day; almost 88% of them are unvaccinated.
According to the Ministry of Health, 4,877 tests were processed per day, respectively, 11.9% of them were positive. Among the new infected there are 9 people who have recently arrived from Turkey, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Germany, Russia, Romania, as well as 8 health workers. Most of the new cases of COVID-19 - 126 (about 22% of the total number of new infected), were registered in the municipality of Chisinau, in the Transnistrian region - 89, in Balti - 56, in Leova district - 47, in the rest of the regions over the last day with coronavirus got sick from 1 to 25 people. In total, 268,105 cases of COVID-19 infection have been confirmed in Moldova since the beginning of the pandemic. About 97% of citizens who contracted the coronavirus recovered, and 2.4% died from complications caused by COVID-19. Over the past day, 4 people aged 33 to 75 have died, and the total number of coronavirus victims has reached 6,406 people. Currently, 4,027 people are being treated for coronavirus, of which 1,143 are hospitalized.
