According to the Ministry of Health, national coverage with one dose of vaccine is 21.4%, 19.8% of the population has completed all stages of vaccination. Among health workers, vaccination coverage is 87.1% (89% of health workers were vaccinated with one dose). It is reported that in Moldova 50% of the population aged 70-79 is fully vaccinated, 45% - at the age of 60-69, about 35% of the population aged 40-59, 27% - 30-39 years. The lowest vaccination coverage is among the population aged 19-29 - 18%. In the territorial context, the highest vaccination coverage was registered in the municipality of Chisinau (30%), as well as in Soroca, Dubasari, Orhei. Cimislia, Calarasi, Ialoveni, Edinet districts, Balti municipality (18-22%), and the lowest rates remain in Taraclia, Singerei, Leova districts and ATU Gagauzia (11-13%). Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, more than 1.6 billion doses of six types of vaccines have been delivered to Moldova. To date, almost 79% of them have already been used. In particular, 99% of the doses of Sputnik-V vaccine received by the country were used, 96% - AstraZeneca, 86% - Sinovac, 83% - Pfizer, 47% - Janssen, 37% - Sinopharm. The Ministry of Health noted that over the last week of observations, 84% of new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in unvaccinated people, 4% among those vaccinated with only one dose. The department emphasizes the need for vaccination and the further danger of contracting coronavirus.
