From October 1, Moldova will begin to apply digital solutions to control the spread of coronavirus.

This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Health Ala Nemerenco during a briefing on Friday after a meeting of the National Emergency Public Health Commission. She noted that the epidemiological situation in Moldova and in Europe as a whole is deteriorating, and in order to ensure readiness for the autumn increase in new cases of COVID-19 infection, the National Emergency Public Health Commission began to optimize some measures to control the spread of infection and prepare special digital solutions. So, from next week at the Chisinau airport, the access of accompanying persons will be limited. Also, the competent authorities will create conditions for the maximum separation of the traffic of passengers arriving and departing from the country. Unimpeded entry into the country will be provided to persons who have a certificate of full vaccination against coronavirus; have a negative result of a PCR test for COVID-19 or an antigen test taken 72 hours before arrival in the country; confirmation of the presence of coronavirus antibodies or a medical certificate of a past illness for the past six months. These categories of persons will be able to enter Moldova without filling out an epidemiological card. At the same time, persons who do not meet these conditions will be required to go to a 14-day self-isolation, fill out an epidemiological card and sign the appropriate declaration of responsibility (with the possibility of getting out of quarantine if they receive a negative test result for COVID-19 on the 7th day ). Exceptions to these rules will also remain (children under 12 years old, students, crews of freight and passenger transport, etc.). According to Nemerenco, by October 1, the Ministry of Health, together with the Electronic Governance Agency, will develop several digital solutions that will simplify control over the spread of coronavirus: a unified electronic certificate of vaccination, combined with a document on negative results of PCR testing and confirmation of rehabilitation after the past illness of coronavirus; a platform for online filling out of the epidemiological map for those entering the country; a mobile application for monitoring individuals in self-isolation or undergoing treatment at home. The full text of the decision of the National Emergency Public Health Commission will be published by the end of the day. // 13.08.2021 — InfoMarket
