The National Emergency Commission for Public Health has approved new epidemiological rules that will apply from October 1.

The National Emergency Commission for Public Health has approved new epidemiological rules that will apply from October 1.

During a briefing on Wednesday, Minister of Health Ala Nemerenсo said that the new decision of the commission, which met with a renewed composition (50% of members are doctors), approved new criteria for determining the level of danger of the spread of coronavirus. So, settlements in which less than 50 new cases of COVID-19 infection have been registered in the last 7 days will be assigned a “green” code, from 50 to 99 cases - “yellow”, from 100 to 249 cases - “orange”, more than 250 cases - the "red" danger code of the spread of coronavirus. Epidemiological measures will be applied, depending on the assigned hazard level. So, in settlements with a "green" level of spread of COVID-19, citizens and businesses will be able to lead a lifestyle and activity as close to normal as possible. For settlements where a "yellow code" is set for some types of activity, the choice of restrictions will be provided to prevent infections. For example, event organizers will be able to request a certificate of vaccination and provide a large number of visitors, or provide access without a certificate of vaccination, but with a limited number of guests. The most stringent requirements are set for settlements belonging to the "red zone" - for many activities, the so-called "COVID-19 certificate" will be mandatory, which means the presence of a certificate of complete vaccination, negative PCR test, antibody test or certificate of a recent illness. At the same time, in all schools, the educational process will be organized with the physical presence of students, and it is recommended to organize distance learning in universities. Herewith, Ala Nemerenco said that at the national level over the past 7 days, 198 new cases of infection per 100 thousand inhabitants were registered: so 366 settlements belong to the "green" zone, 156 to the "yellow", to the "orange" - 311, to "red" - 177. The worst situation is observed in the largest municipalities of the country - in the municipality of Chisinau over the past 7 days, 333 new cases of coronavirus infection were registered per 100 thousand people, in the municipality of Balti - 427 cases per 100 thousand. residents. The full decision of the commission will be published shortly. // 22.09.2021 — InfoMarket
