In Moldova, another 9,500 families will receive vouchers worth 6,000 lei under the EcoVoucher program to replace old household appliances with new, more energy-efficient ones

The Ministry of Energy and the National Center for Sustainable Energy announced this, noting that the vouchers are provided to families with children and households with people over 63 years of age to reduce electricity bills. State support allows them to replace old household appliances with modern, more economical, and environmentally friendly ones. EcoVoucher covers up to 70% of the cost of a new refrigerator or washing machine with a high energy efficiency rating, up to a maximum of 6,000 lei. The program was developed by the Moldovan government with the support of the European Union. The current edition is funded by Norway, with a total budget of €7.5 million. Since the program's launch, nearly 30,000 families in Moldova have purchased new, energy-efficient appliances. Vouchers are distributed automatically based on data registered on the platform compensatii.gov.md. Beneficiaries can use the voucher during the active period in partner store chains, provided that they return old equipment of the same type for recycling. The program covers the entire country thanks to the presence of eight retail chains with more than 80 stores. This facilitates access to energy-efficient equipment and makes sustainable development an affordable choice for thousands of families. // 07.08.2025 – InfoMarket.
