Roadmap for Sustainable Heat Supply in Moldova to be presented in Chisinau on August 28

The Ministry of Energy stated this, announcing a conference to be held on August 28 at the Government House to present the preliminary results of the Roadmap for Sustainable Heat Supply. The main objective of the conference is to support the implementation of Directive 2012/27/EU on energy efficiency, transposed into national legislation, as well as the Moldovan government's ambitious commitments to decarbonization and the transition to a sustainable energy sector. The Roadmap for Sustainable Heat Supply, which is currently at a preliminary stage and has been developed with the support of the World Bank, should become a key public policy document within the National Regulatory Plan for 2025, Action No. 315 “Approval of the Sustainable Development Program for the Heat Supply Sector.” This Roadmap has been developed as a strategic tool to improve the energy efficiency of district heating systems, develop renewable energy sources, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, modernize heating infrastructure, and introduce environmentally friendly and sustainable technologies. The document will also contribute to the development of an updated Energy Strategy and National Energy and Climate Plan, providing a comprehensive and long-term vision for the development of the energy sector. The conference will include a question and answer session, during which participants will be able to actively participate and make suggestions and comments. // 06.08.2025 — InfoMarket
