
In Moldova, the volume of natural gas consumption in February 2025 amounted to 148.9 million cubic meters, which is 37.7% higher than in the same period of 2024
According to the press service of Moldovagaz, at the same time, compared to January 2025, this indicator increased by 13.9 million cubic meters (+9.9%). As of February 28, 2025, household consumers repaid 90.6% of the amounts invoiced, which is identical to the same period of 2024. In the case of non-household consumers (legal entities), the share of payments reached 97.2%, which is 1.9 percentage points (p.p.) higher than last year's indicators. In the case of enterprises from the heating sector, the payment rate amounted to 100%, which corresponds to the indicators of February 2024. During the reporting period, 451 consumption points were disconnected from the network, the owners of which owed 3.336 million lei to the supplier. At the same time, 165 consumers were switched to advance payment due to the earlier suspension of supplies for non-payment of the cost of consumed natural gas. According to Moldovagaz, as of February 28, the level of payment for the natural gas consumed during the year amounted to 95.4%, with an increase of 0.3 p.p. as compared to 2024, and in absolute figures is estimated at 1 billion 866 million lei, taking into account the revised tariffs for this period.
