Fuel prices continue to rise in Moldova amid an increasingly pronounced growth in Platts quotations for oil products recently.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) reported this, noting that since the last informative report of ANRE 4 days ago, Platts quotations have increased by 3.5% for gasoline and by 5.4% for diesel. Thus, quotations for gasoline reached $844 per ton, and for diesel fuel - $900 per ton, which was the highest level since the beginning of the year. International experts explain this development by the reaction of world markets to the lack of immediate prospects for a ceasefire in the conflict between Israel and Hamas, as well as last week's attacks by the U.S. military on Iranian paramilitary groups in the Middle East. Under these circumstances, for tomorrow, February 13, the maximum retail prices of basic standard oil products are set by ANRE at the following level: gasoline COR 95 - 24.45 lei per liter (+7 bani); standard diesel - 22.63 lei per liter (+15 bani). ANRE said it is closely following the developments on the international oil exchanges and assured consumers that the current mechanism of setting gasoline and diesel prices is extremely transparent and guarantees their maximum fairness. // 12.02.2024 - InfoMarket.
