
Moldovatransgas has started the sale of capacities on the Regional Booking Platform (RBP).
Specifically, Moldova's largest transmission system operator, Moldovatransgaz, announced the organization of capacity auctions at interconnection points starting November 1 on the RBP international platform and said the first auction for capacity on RBP took place November 2. "We hope that this step will facilitate the transportation of natural gas in the region and the current partners, including future clients of the company, will use these capacities to ensure gas import, export and transit activities at the highest quality level and professionalism," the Moldovatransgas representative said. The company said that, to this end, it offers all-European mechanisms for gas booking and transportation, competitive and attractive entry-exit tariffs, ensuring the gas transportation through the Transnistrian region, free, transparent and fair conditions of access to the network and taking care of the clients and partners. Moldovatransgas is the operator of a segment of Trans-Balkan corridor, which passes through Moldova and is ready to auction capacities for transportation of up to 36 million cubic meters of gas per day to the European Union and up to 12 million cubic meters per day in reverse mode. Under the conditions of energy crisis, which embraced the whole European continent, Moldavtransgas is oriented towards permanent development, being open to anti-crisis mechanisms, established by the national Government and EU institutions.
