Moldova will buy electric energy in November only from Romania since so far no contract has been signed with the Moldovan Power Plant.
Andrei Spinu, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development said this. While informing citizens about the evolution of the energy situation in the country, he noted that state company Energocom has signed the following power supply contracts for November: contract with OMV Petrom has been extended for 50 MWh; contract with Nuclearelectrica has been extended for 35 MWh; 5530 MWh of electricity was purchased from OPCOM (Romanian Power Exchange) for November 1; no contract was signed with the Moldovan Power Plant. "In that sense, on November 1, we will have an electricity deficit of about 4,070 MWh uncovered by contracts. Reducing electricity consumption is extremely important. Please continue your efforts to save electricity at the national level. We have many good examples, but I am sure there is still room for more responsibility and savings," the Deputy Prime Minister stressed. // 01.11.2022 - InfoMarket
