As InfoMarket was told at the National Agency fro Energy Regulation, at the same time, in value terms, the volume of gas purchases in January-September 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 3.9 times - from 2 billion 728 million to 10 billion 575 million lei. Herewith, the average purchase price of gas in lei increased over the year by more than 4.3 times - from 3447 lei (without VAT) per 1 thousand cubic meters for 9 months of 2021 to 14912 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters for 9 months of 2022. According to NAER, in January-September 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, the volume of gas supplies to the end consumers of the country in physical terms decreased by 14.3% - to 702.3 cubic meters, and in value terms - increased by 3.4 times - from 3 billion 260.6 million to 11 billion 018 million lei. Meanwhile, the tariff for consumers increased over the same period by an average of 3.9 times - from 3981 to 15688 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters. According to NAER, in particular, the population for 9 months of 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, reduced gas consumption in physical terms by 20.1% - from 315.2 million to 251.9 million cubic meters, and in monetary terms, the figure increased by 2.7 times - from 1 billion 463.1 million to 3 billion 983.3 million lei. Energy sector enterprises in January-September 2022 used 198.6 million cubic meters of gas for 2 billion 739.5 million lei. Thus, in comparison with the same period of the previous year, their gas consumption for 9 months in 2022 in physical terms decreased by 26.9%, and in monetary terms - increased by 2.8 times. Gas consumption by budgetary institutions decreased by 24.9% in physical terms, but increased by 3.1 times in monetary terms. In January-September 2022, they used 25.4 million cubic meters of gas for 372.2 million lei. At the same time, business entities that do not work in the energy sector, for 9 months of 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, reduced gas consumption in physical terms by 10.9% - to 176.9 million cubic meters, and in monetary terms - increased by 3.9 times - up to 2 billion 706.7 million lei. In addition, Energocom acquired from Moldovagaz in January-September of this year to create a reserve of 49.5 million cubic meters of gas for 1 billion 216.4 million lei.
