NAER announced the exhaustion of the maximum capacity quota for solar panels to confirm the status of an eligible producer of electricity from renewable sources.

NAER announced the exhaustion of the maximum capacity quota for solar panels to confirm the status of an eligible producer of electricity from renewable sources.

In particular, the National Agency for Energy Regulation informed that the maximum power quota for solar (photovoltaic) installations, except for those installed on buildings (installed on the ground), determined in accordance with the government decree of 08.12.2021 “On approval of power limits, maximum power levels and power categories in the field of electricity from renewable sources, valid until December 31, 2025”. According to NAER, thus, in this sense, the status of an eligible producer was confirmed on the basis of 154 applications registered on a first come first served basis, with a total capacity of 120 MW, for which decisions were made to confirm the status of an eligible producer in accordance with the Law on the Promotion of Energy Use from renewable sources and the Regulation on confirming the status of an eligible producer, approved by NAER Resolution N251/2019. The NAER table shows data on quotas currently available for confirmation in accordance with the government decree of December 08, 2021, separately for each type of production technology. In accordance with paragraph 112 of the Regulation on confirming the status of an eligible producer, approved by the NAER resolution of 07/05/2019, in the event that new capacity quotas are approved by the government or the capacity quotas are released due to the withdrawal of the status of an eligible producer, the initiation of the process of confirming the status of an eligible producer for new capacities occurs starting from the date indicated by the agency in the announcement on the official website. The announcement of the start of the process of confirming the status of an eligible producer for new capacity quotas is published at least 10 business days before the expected start date of the process. The procedure for submitting an application and confirming the status of an eligible producer is carried out in strict accordance with the Regulation on confirming the status of an eligible producer, approved by the NAER decision of July 5, 2019, and on a first-come, first-served basis. Within the capacity quotas and for each technology and individual applicant, NAER adopts resolutions on awarding the status of an eligible producer, which will be effective from the moment the execution guarantees are provided in the amount of 2% of the estimated project cost. The process of consideration of applications will be provided by a group of NAER employees with the assistance of representatives of state institutions. // 31.10.2022 — InfoMarket
