
Moldova's energy resources imports in January-July 2022 amounted to $1 billion 316.3 million in monetary terms and increased 2.9 times compared to the same period in 2021.
The National Bureau of Statistics reported that, in particular, for 7 months in 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, imports of oil and oil products in value terms increased 2.7 times, to $810.6 million, while imports of natural gas and industrial products from gas increased 3.3 times, to $466 .3 million. Deliveries of coal, coke and briquettes over the same period increased 1.9 times - up to $14.3 million. Electricity imports amounted to $25.15 million, which is 4.6 times more than in the same period in 2021. In general, imports of energy resources in January-July 2022 ranked 1st in the overall structure of Moldovan imports with an indicator of 25.75% against 11.93% a year earlier.
