President of Moldova said this at a Monday press conference dedicated to the decisions taken by the Supreme Security Council. Whiles speaking about possible risks, she noted that the Moldovan authorities have no confidence that Gazprom will respect the contract with Moldovagaz. Maia Sandu reminded that, according to the contract, the purchase price of gas for Moldova should be much lower from October 1. "Public authorities are ready to act in any situation according to scenarios prepared in advance. Citizens will be supported by the government this heating season, just like last winter," President stressed. Maia Sandu also reminded that every month there are discussions with Gazprom, and the Moldovan side always says that it wants to keep the current contract and is in favor of its observance by the Russian side. "Since October 1, the purchase price of gas should be significantly reduced, and it is Gazprom's duty to fulfill the contract. Let's see if they will do it in practical terms or not," President stressed. // 26.09.2022 - InfoMarket.
