The National Agency of Energy Regulation informed that, at the same time, the volume of gas purchases in value terms in January - June 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased 3.9 times - from 1 billion 900.9 million to 7 billion 459.1 million lei. At the same time, the average gas purchase price in terms of MDL increased almost 5 times during the year - from 2771 lei (without VAT) per 1,000 cubic meters in 1H 2021 to 12334 lei per 1,000 cubic meters in 1H 2022. According to ANRE data, in January-June 2022, the volume of gas supplies to final consumers of Moldova in physical terms decreased by 16.5% - down to 597.4 cubic meters, and in value terms - increased 3 times - from 2 billion 841.2 million to 8 billion 494.2 million lei as compared to the same period of 2021. At the same time, the tariff for consumers for the same period increased by an average of 3.6 times - from 3970 to 14220 lei per thousand cubic meters. ANRE data show that, the population in the first half of 2022, relative to the same period of the previous year, reduced the consumption of gas in physical terms by 19.6% - from 283 million to 227.6 million cubic meters, and in money terms the index increased 2.6 times - from 1 billion 313.7 million to 3 billion 473.8 million lei. Enterprises of the energy sector in January-June 2022 used 187.2 million cubic meters of gas worth 2 billion 519.2 million lei. At the same time, compared to the same period of the previous year, their consumption of gas in the first half of 2022 in physical terms decreased by 27.3%, and in money terms - increased by 2.7 times. Gas consumption by budget institutions decreased by 24.9% in physical terms, but increased 2.8 times in monetary terms. In January-June 2022 they used 25.2 million cubic meters of gas worth 366.5 million lei. At the same time, economic entities that do not work in the energy sector, in the first half of 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, reduced gas consumption in physical terms by 6.1% - to 132.9 million cubic meters, and in monetary terms - increased it 4 times - to 1 billion 864.3 million lei. In addition, Energocom purchased 24.5 million cubic meters of gas worth 270.5 million lei from Moldovagaz to create a reserve.
