The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) reported this, noting that after fuel prices in the country reached a historical maximum of 33.90 lei per liter of gasoline COR 95 and 32.46 lei per liter of standard diesel fuel in June this year, there has been a continuous downward trend. The cumulative drop in fuel prices over the last period amounts to 6.29 lei per liter for gasoline COR 95 and 5.58 lei per liter for standard diesel, which represents a decrease of about 18.5% and 17.2%, respectively, compared with the maximum values of June. Following the same trend, the energy regulator has set the following maximum retail prices for basic standard type petroleum products for tomorrow, August 4: for gasoline COR 95 - 27.61 lei per liter (-11 bani, as compared to the previous day), for standard diesel - 26.88 lei per liter (-21 bani). ANRE assures the final consumers of the correctness of the maximum selling prices for the main standard petroleum products and confirms the fact that the price formation mechanism in force creates fair and transparent prices, which will accurately reflect the trends of both increasing and decreasing international quotations. // 03.08.2022 - InfoMarket
