
Moldova will buy 30% of the electricity it needs from 2 Ukrainian companies, Energoatom and Ukrhydroenergo, in August at the previous price of $77/MWh.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development Andrei Spinu announced this, noting that 20% of the electricity will be supplied by Enerhoatom and 10% by Ukrhydroenerho. Andrei Spinu reminded that 70% of the necessary volume of electric energy is supplied to the right bank of the Dniester by the Mldovan HPP. Under the contract, the plant delivers electricity to Moldova's right bank in July-August at a price of $59.9 per 1 MWh. The Deputy Prime Minister said the weighted average price of electricity in August is $65.03 per MWh. He stressed that the electricity tariff for citizens and the economy remains unchanged. It is worth mentioning that the weighted average price of electricity for right-bank Moldova in July also stood at $65.03 per MWh, the same as in June. For 70% of the country's consumption volumes, a contract was concluded with the Moldovan HPP for two months: July and August, at $59.9 per MWh.
