In Moldova, the maximum retail prices for gasoline decreased for the sixth week in a row and for diesel for the fifth week in a row - ANRE.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) reported this, noting that, thus, gasoline COR 95 became cheaper during this period by 5.95 lei per liter and standard diesel fuel - by 4.94 lei per liter. For the next 3 days, (July 30 - August 1), the maximum retail prices for basic standard petroleum products are set by ANRE at the following level: gasoline COR 95 - 27.95 lei per liter (-7 bani, compared to the previous day), standard diesel - 27.52 lei per liter (-5 bani). The decrease of the maximum retail fuel prices, set by ANRE, is due to the decrease of Platts quotations, on which the current method of price level determination is based. The ANRE underlines that the current methodology of oil product price setting guarantees to the consumers that their level is exclusively influenced by objective factors, such as international market conjuncture, excluding the possibility for oil companies to interfere in the process of price setting. Thus ANRE guarantees the correctness of the maximum prices set and monitors their strict observance. // 29.07.2022 - InfoMarket
