Small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to receive grants for re-technology and energy efficiency.
The government-approved three-year Program for Re-technology and Energy Efficiency Improvement of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Moldova aims to increase SME productivity, replace inefficient equipment with modern technological solutions and optimize production costs through energy efficiency measures. The program has three components: informing potential beneficiaries about the program and its benefits, non-refundable financial assistance, and evaluation and monitoring. The grant component includes two categories of support: up to 2 million lei for technological upgrading (production automation, robotization, modernization of existing technological lines, etc.) and up to 1 million lei for installation of equipment and systems for renewable energy production (solar panels with heating system, photovoltaic panels for electricity production, technological equipment for biogas production, etc.). In both cases, the grant component cannot exceed 50% of the project cost, and the beneficiary must ensure a reduction in electricity consumption by at least 15% as a result of project implementation. The program will be implemented by the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA). Its implementation will require about 50 million lei per year. The funds will be allocated from the state budget and from resources provided by external and local donors. //22.07.2022 - InfoMarket.
