NAER proposes to increase the tariff for gas supply to household consumers from August 1 - by 19.6% - from 18.62 to 22.27 lei per 1 cubic meter including VAT.
In particular, this follows from the draft resolution on new tariffs for natural gas supplied by Moldovagaz, which was published by the National Agency for Energy Regulation. In particular, NAER proposes to increase the tariff for natural gas at exit points from low-pressure gas distribution networks (for residential consumers) by 19.6% - from 17,244 to 20,616 lei per 1,000 cubic meters (excluding VAT), or from 17.24 to 20.62 lei per 1 cu. m (without VAT). At the same time, taking into account 8% VAT, it will increase from 18.62 to 22.27 lei per 1 cubic meter. The tariff for natural gas at exit points from medium-pressure gas distribution networks NAER plans to increase by 21.4% - from 15,633 to 18,973 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (without VAT), and high pressure - by 21.7% - from 15315 to 18636 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT). NAER has not yet provided other materials containing the rationale for such proposed tariffs. As previously reported, Moldovagaz, in its request to NAER dated June 30, asked to increase the gas tariff for household consumers by 42.4% - from 18.62 to 26.52 lei per 1 cubic meter including VAT, having calculated it taking into account the average annual gas purchase price for 2022 in the amount of $770.64 per 1 thousand cubic meters. Meanwhile, on the eve it became known that Moldovagaz updated its request to NAER for the calculation of gas tariffs due to the increase in the price of its purchase on international trading floors and proposed to increase the tariff for household consumers from July 1 by 58.3 % - from 18.62 to 29.48 lei per 1 cubic meter including VAT. The company noted that a higher tariff increase than previously requested was needed due to a larger increase in the purchase price of gas. Thus, the current tariff included an average annual gas purchase price of $696.02 per 1,000 cubic meters, and Moldovagaz calculated the previous new tariffs taking into account the new average purchase price of gas at $770.64 per 1,000 cubic meters. In "Moldovagaz" they note that in August the purchase price of gas for Moldova, according to preliminary data, will be $1,460.84 per 1,000 cubic meters, which is 48% more than in July and 63% higher than the Ibn6 price. As a result, Moldovagaz calculated new tariffs taking into account the average annual gas purchase price at $838.12 per 1,000 cubic meters. The exchange rate was kept the same - 18.81 lei per $1. Moldovagaz proposed to increase the average gas supply price from July 1, 2022 by 61.9% - from 16,254 to 26,314 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters. In particular, the tariff for natural gas at the points of exit from low-pressure gas distribution networks (for household consumers) "Moldovagaz" proposed to increase by 58.3% - from 17,244 to 27,304 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT), or from 17.24 to 27.3 lei per 1 cu. m (without VAT). Thus, taking into account 8% VAT, it will increase from 18.62 to 29.48 lei per 1 cubic meter. At the same time, the company proposes to raise the tariff for natural gas at exit points from medium-pressure gas distribution networks by 64.4% - from 15,633 to 25,693 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (without VAT), and high pressure - by 65.7% - from 15315 to 25376 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT). // 14.07.2022 — InfoMarket
