Fuel continues to get cheaper in Moldova amid a continuing downward trend in Platts quotations for gasoline and diesel fuel - ANRE.

The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) reported this, noting that, in particular, Platts quotes for gasoline and diesel fuel reached about $1151 per ton of gasoline and $1129 per ton of diesel fuel on July 12. Overall, over the past 14 days used by ANRE to calculate maximum prices, quotations have declined 14.4% for gasoline and 9.8% for diesel, with declines of about $193 per ton of gasoline and $122.5 per ton of diesel. Under such conditions, based on the price formation algorithm based on the average value of the average Platts quotes for the previous 14 days, correlated with the MDL/USD exchange rate, the following maximum retail prices for main standard type petroleum products were established for July 14: gasoline COR 95 - 31.34 lei/liter (- 0.35 leu); diesel fuel - 29.12 lei/liter (- 0.24 leu). Thus, during the last period of decline of international quotations, the prices set by ANRE for the basic oil products of standard type decreased by 3.34 lei for diesel and by 2.56 lei per liter for the COR 95 gasoline. ANRE continues to follow closely the developments on international exchanges and assures consumers that the existing price formation mechanism is maximally transparent and ensures maximum fairness in the formation of petroleum product prices, both in the periods of increase and decrease. // 13.07.2022 - InfoMarket
