
Imports of petroleum products in Moldova in the first quarter of 2022, compared to the same period of 2021, increased by 21.9%, from 173.66 thousand tons to 211.69 thousand tons.
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) informed that, gasoline imports in January-March 2022, compared to the same period of the previous year, increased by 18.5% to 43,909.1 tons, diesel fuel - increased by 26.6% to 155,017.46 tons, and liquefied gas - decreased by 9.7% to 12,767.63 tons. According to ANRE, 22 companies had licenses for import and wholesale of gasoline and diesel fuel at the end of Q1 2022 (22 at the end of the same period of the previous year), and 12 companies had licenses for import and wholesale of liquefied gas (13). Retail sales of gasoline and diesel fuel at the end of the first quarter of 2022 were conducted by 88 license holders (89 at the same period of the previous year) and liquefied gas - by 75 license holders (76). Overall, there were 197 petroleum product license holders in the market as of the end of March 2022 (200 as of the end of March of the previous year). In the first quarter of 2022, ANRE issued a total of 16 licenses for activities on the petroleum products market, including 13 licenses extended for the next 5 years. According to the data of ANRE, there were 705 certified gas stations on the territory of the country by the end of the first quarter of 2022 (714 last year), 512 of which sell all three types of fuel (517 last year), 152 - only gasoline and diesel fuel (151), and 41 - only liquefied gas (46). // 06.07.2022 - InfoMarket
