The company "Moldovagaz" again applied to NAER and asks for a higher increase in the tariff for the supply of gas to household consumers - by 58.3% - from 18.62 to 29.48 lei per 1 cubic meter including VAT.

Previously, Moldovagaz asked to increase the tariff by 42.4% - from 18.62 to 26.52 lei per 1 cubic meter including VAT. In particular, the company submitted a new request to the National Agency for Energy Regulation to increase the tariff for the supply of natural gas to end consumers in 2022, noting that the tariff needs to be increased more than previously requested due to a more significant increase in the purchase price of gas. Thus, the current tariff included an average annual gas purchase price of $696.02 per 1,000 cubic meters, and Moldovagaz calculated the previous new tariffs taking into account the average gas purchase price of $ 770.64 per 1 thousand cubic meters, as well as a new average forecast exchange rate of 18.81 lei per $1 instead of 18.33 per $1. Moldovagaz notes that in August the purchase price of gas for Moldova, according to preliminary data, will be $1,460.84 per 1,000 cubic meters, which is 48% more than in July and 63% higher than the price in June. As a result, Moldovagaz calculated new tariffs taking into account the average annual gas purchase price at $838.12 per 1,000 cubic meters. The exchange rate was kept the same - 18.81 lei per $1. In particular, "Moldovagaz" proposes to increase the average price of gas supplies from July 1 by 61.9% - from 16,254 to 26,314 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters due to the increase in the purchase price of gas. In particular, the tariff for natural gas at exit points from low-pressure gas distribution networks (for household consumers) Moldovagaz proposes to increase by 58.3% - from 17,244 to 27,304 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT), or from 17.24 to 27.3 lei per 1 cu. m (without VAT). At the same time, taking into account VAT at 8%, it will increase from 18.62 to 29.48 lei per 1 cubic meter. Herewith, the company proposes to raise the tariff for natural gas at exit points from medium-pressure gas distribution networks by 64.4% - from 15,633 to 25,693 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (without VAT), and high pressure - by 65.7% - from 15315 to 25376 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters. Previously, the company sent a request to NAER to increase the tariff for the supply of natural gas to end consumers at regulated prices in 2022, in which it proposed to increase the average price of gas supply from July 1, 2022 by 45% - up to 23,572 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters due to the increase in the purchase price of gas. In particular, the tariff for natural gas at exit points from low-pressure gas distribution networks (for household consumers) Moldovagaz then proposed to increase by 42.4% - from 17,244 to 24,562 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (excluding VAT), or from 17.24 to 24.56 lei per 1 cu. m (without VAT). Meanwhile, taking into account 8% VAT, it would increase from 18.62 to 26.52 lei per 1 cubic meter. The tariff for natural gas at exit points from medium-pressure gas distribution networks, the company then proposed to increase by 46.8% - from 15,633 to 22,952 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters (without VAT), and high pressure - by 47.8% - from 15315 to 22634 lei per 1 thousand cubic meters. // 13.07.2022 — InfoMarket
