Petrol and diesel prices in Moldova have decreased over the last month by 4 lei per liter - ANRE.
The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) stated this, pointing out that the retail prices for main petroleum products of standard types have been steadily decreasing over the last 30 days. Thus, after reaching their historical maximum - 33.90 lei per liter for COR 95 gasoline and 32.46 lei per liter for standard diesel fuel - the prices have been steadily decreasing since the second half of June. In particular, the maximum retail prices for standard petroleum products, fixed on July 20, are lower by 4 lei per liter than the prices of a month ago: 29.90 lei per liter of COR 95 gasoline (- 41 bani, as compared with the previous day); 28.45 lei per liter of standard diesel (- 23 bani). According to ANRE, the decrease in fuel retail prices is due to a decrease in Platts quotations, an indicator that is the basis of the current method of determining the price level, given that Moldova imports 100% of petroleum products. ANRE assures final consumers of the correctness of the maximum selling prices for the main petroleum products of standard type and reiterates that the current pricing mechanism generates fair and transparent prices, which faithfully reflect both upward trends of international quotations and downward trends. // 19.07.2022- InfoMarket.
