
The Ministry of Finance of Moldova is conducting a simulation of the bilateral screening of Chapter 9 - "Financial Services" - an important component of the EU accession process
As noted in the press release of the financial department, this event is a key element in the preparation for the meeting with the European Commission scheduled for February 2025 in Brussels. In this regard, a meeting of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the National Bank of Moldova, the National Commission for the Financial Market and the Deposit Guarantee Fund in the Banking System responsible for this chapter was held at the Ministry of Finance. During the meeting, key aspects of this chapter of the negotiations were considered, with an emphasis on banking, capital markets, digital financial services, insurance and finance. During the discussions, the national legal and institutional framework was presented, and the achievements were highlighted. It was emphasized that the financial system plays a critical role in supporting efforts to transition to a competitive and sustainable economy.
