Wines from Moldova won 123 medals at the world's largest tasting competition, Decanter World Wine Awards 2024.

The National Office of Vine and Wine announced this, noting that this competition, founded in 1975, is recognized throughout the world for its strict judging and expertise in wine evaluation. A distinguished jury of 243 leading wine experts from 33 countries blindly tasted 18,143 wines from 57 countries. The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) medals are recognized worldwide as the standard of excellence and quality in winemaking, providing a comprehensive and authoritative look at exceptional wines from around the world. At the 21st exhibition held this year, Moldovan wines impressed, demonstrating the skills of local producers, who returned home with 123 medals.
