The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) reported this, noting that, in particular, only in May, AIPA approved the payment of MDL 177.01 million in subsidies to support farmers. This amount was distributed as follows: MDL 15.59 million for 75 requests for additional payments; MDL 24.51 million for 25 requests for advance subsidies; MDL 117.74 million for 456 requests for post-investment subsidies; MDL 15.79 million for 31 innovative projects under the LEADER approach; MDL 1.77 million for 6 requests for direct subsidy payments per kg of milk; MDL 0.17 million for 4 requests for financial assistance (drought and hurricane 2023). In total, since the beginning of 2024, MDL 47.12 million has been allocated from the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development in the form of financial assistance to cover losses from natural disasters.
