
Livestock enterprises can apply for grants under the AGGRI project until May 17.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry reminded that the maximum grant amount can be up to $1 million, while it should be no more than 50% of the cost of eligible investments. Funding can be obtained in the following areas: construction or modernization of zootechnical infrastructure; purchase of new equipment and machinery; organization of feed processing complexes; purchase of breeding animals; investments in energy efficiency, including biogas plants and installation of photovoltaic panels. Grants can be obtained by applicants who meet certain requirements: official registration, including on the territory of the left bank of the Nistru/Dniester River controlled by the Moldovan authorities; documents of ownership or lease of real estate for 5 years; own contribution of 50% or more of the investment project cost. Investments financed by the grant benefit from a preferential VAT regime. There is also the possibility for beneficiaries to receive state subsidies. The project "Agriculture Governance, Growth and Resilience Investment (AGGRI), which will run until 2029, will be financed under the government's loan agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for $55 million.
