Moldova is open to new investments from China and intends to expand the export of its products to the Chinese market.

The statement was made by Prime Minister Dorin Recean at a meeting in Chisinau with a delegation of 19 Chinese companies from different fields: infrastructure, renewable energy sources, agriculture, finance, international logistics and construction, etc. During the discussions with the representatives of the Investment Agency and the Energy Ministry, the sides discussed the advantages of investing in our country and the areas with the biggest development potential. Dorin Recean emphasized that Moldova is a suitable place for investors from different parts of the world and, in the context of European integration, offers even more advantages, which is why Chinese companies are invited to our country. "Moldova represents a good opportunity for investors. The pro-European government ensures a comfortable and safe environment for all business people, without bureaucracy and other obstacles,” Prime Minister said. Dorin Recean also highlighted Moldova's interest in narrowing the Moldovan-Chinese trade balance gap by diversifying and increasing the export of Moldovan products to the Chinese market. “Our producers are interested in increasing the export to China of wine, fresh and dry fruits, oils, nuts, baby food and many other goods,” Prime Minister specified. The meeting took place within the China-Moldova Investment Cooperation Forum, organized in Chisinau by the Moldovan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chinese Embassy on 6-7 June. // 07.06.2024 - InfoMarket.
