Moldova will adopt the experience of promoting agricultural exports from the non-profit organization LITFOOD, established by the Lithuanian Ministry of Agriculture.

This was mentioned during a visit to Vilnius by Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vladimir Bolea. The aim of LITFOOD is to promote export of Lithuanian agricultural and food products with high added value, as well as B2B, B2C and G2B partnerships for Lithuanian businesses across the country and around the world. Vladimir Bolea was informed about LITFOOD's activities, including regular organization of research on the needs of Lithuanian companies in the export market, identification of priority export sectors, the need for companies to participate in business missions and international agricultural and food exhibitions. LITFOOD constantly analyzes suitable markets for export of Lithuanian products and promotes the participation of Lithuanian companies in the largest international food and beverage exhibitions around the world. The organization supports the participation of Lithuanian companies in business missions, enabling them to establish trade relations with importers, distributors and decision makers in retail chains in the USA, UAE, Japan, Germany, France, Taiwan and others. LITFOOD also conducts informational and advisory seminars, conferences and training courses on export opportunities in various foreign markets, helping Lithuanian food processing companies to find potential partners in target export markets. The head of the Moldovan Agriculture Ministry highly appreciated the method of export promotion and said that such institutions are necessary to support agricultural producers so that they could sell their products, penetrate new markets and know the specific requirements of each market, as well as their standards. He said that LITFOOD's experience will be useful for Moldovan farmers. The discussions focused on the perspectives, intentions, support and harmonization needed for Moldova's integration into the EU. The sides discussed ways of future cooperation and emphasized the importance of supporting Moldovan agricultural producers in their efforts to enter new international markets. // 07.06.2024 - InfoMarket.
