AIPA received more than 2.6 thousand applications for post-investment subsidies in the amount of 1 billion 316.5 million lei.

The Agricultural Intervention and Payment Agency (AIPA) announced that it closed applications for this category of subsidies on November 16th. Over 3 months, 2,104 agricultural producers submitted 2,642 applications for post-investment subsidies. The most applications were submitted by agricultural producers from Orhei district (176 requests for 69.8 million lei), Hincesti district (119 applications for 72 million lei), Edinet district (110 applications for 47.6 million lei), Cahul district (110 requests for 67.7 million lei), Ialoveni district (107 applications for 57.2 million lei). At the same time, the largest share of requests was received for subsidizing investments in production, processing or marketing infrastructure in the crop production sector (construction of packaging shops, refrigeration chambers for storing fruits, vegetables and potatoes; modernization of primary/finished equipment; processing, drying, freezing and packaging of fruits, vegetables , potatoes, aromatic, seasonings and medicinal plants; modernization of processes of primary/final processing, drying, conditioning, storage, packaging of grains, oilseeds and industrial plants) – 342 applications for 312.3 million lei. In 2nd place - investments in livestock farming (creation of livestock complexes, their construction and modernization, equipment and technological equipment, purchase of breeding animals) - 297 applications for 234.3 million lei. In 3rd place is subsidizing investments in soil cultivation technologies (purchase of tractors, combines, machines or agricultural equipment), while the amount of requested subsidies is 1141 applications for 232.2 million lei, in 4th place is subsidizing investments in infrastructure development related to farming – 237 applications for 169.1 million lei. In 2023, the size of the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development is 19 billion lei, which is used for the distribution of post-investment subsidies, advance subsidies, direct payments in the livestock sector, additional payments, compensation of excise taxes on diesel fuel purchased from November 16, 2022 to September 30 of this year, as well as to provide financial assistance to farmers affected by the consequences of the crisis in 2022.
