Moldovan wine exporters can receive grants of up to 1 million lei under the WESA program, launched earlier by USAID Moldova.

As USAID Moldova reminded, the deadline for submitting applications for funding under the WESA (Wine Export Support Activities) program launched by the USAID Moldova-funded Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Project expires on November 30th. Wine exporters are encouraged to complete and submit grant applications before this deadline to ensure they receive the financial assistance they need. The WESA program is aimed at developing sales and diversifying markets with high added value for exporters, the total grant budget is 13 million lei. As InfoMarket previously reported, the US Agency for International Development launched the Moldovan Wine Export Promotion (WESA) grant program in Moldova with a total budget of 13 million lei. It represents a valuable opportunity for winemakers who want to develop a marketing and promotion plan to increase sales of quality wines in non-traditional markets, in high value-added segments. We are talking about stimulating and supporting the marketing and advertising activities of wine exporters, and also indirectly about creating a positive image of Moldovan wine in non-traditional markets: Romania, Poland, Great Britain, Holland, Denmark, South Korea, Japan, Canada, as well as other new markets with potential to increase the export of Moldovan wine. The total budget of the WESA grant program is 13 million lei. It is expected that grant financial support will be provided to approximately 20 companies in the wine industry. // 14.11.2023 — InfoMarket.
