
USAID is offering grants of 1.5 million lei for young people involved in the digital transformation of agriculture in Moldova.
The Ministry of Agriculture announced this, noting that USAID Moldova Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity announced a grant competition to support initiatives to engage young people in the digital transformation of value-added agriculture, the wine sector and tourism through partnerships between educational institutions and private companies, and to engage young people in digital transformation activities in the target sectors. Incubators, industry associations, member associations, business service providers, extension services, educational institutions, civic associations and private companies may apply for grant funding by proposing activities that will create and/or develop partnerships for digital transformation with the participation of young people in the target sectors. The Moldova Rural Competitiveness and Resilience Activity project involves approximately 7.5 million lei to fund the competition and the grant amount per beneficiary can vary from 1 million lei to 1.5 million lei, with applicants having to contribute at least 10% of the total project cost. The activities financed by the grant will be planned for a period of up to 24 months and may include: organization of informational activities to promote and disseminate digital transformation in the target sectors; implementation of communication campaigns and development of communication channels and tools to promote digital transformation in the target sectors; creation of AgTech clubs for youth, short professional courses in partnership with private sector companies; organization of study visits to companies that implement digital // 30.01.2023 – InfoMarket
