
Farmers can receive grants of up to $7,500 to implement technological solutions for sustainable agriculture.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry reminds that the grants are provided under the Rural Sustainability Project, financed by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) through adaptation programs for small producers. In particular, farmers can apply for grants to finance investments in equipment for the implementation of efficient irrigation technologies, equipment for conservation agriculture, anti-hail systems, equipment for solar energy production, machinery and equipment used in organic crop production. According to the program terms, grants are provided for partial compensation of investments: individuals and legal entities may receive compensation of up to 70% of the cost of investment in agricultural equipment, but no more than $7,500 per beneficiary; cooperatives receive compensation of up to 50% of investment in agricultural equipment, but no more than $15,000 per beneficiary. Agrarians from Chisinau and Balti cannot be grant beneficiaries. The applicants must be registered in Moldova, have at least one year of experience in agriculture, own or lease up to 50 hectares of land, and have a certificate of environmental production activities.
