Moldova has announced a competition for grants for agricultural producers who have invested in agricultural machinery and equipment for soil conservation.
In particular, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, in partnership with the “Competitive Agriculture in Moldova” project and the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture, launches the Post-Investment Grants Program for sustainable land management and announces the first competition for funding. The competition will be held from October 4 to November 1, 2022. Post-investment grants are intended to compensate for the costs of acquiring agricultural equipment and machinery and applying measures to ensure the conservation and improvement of soils. Individual agricultural producers registered in accordance with the legislation of Moldova, operating in the agricultural sector, having made eligible investments and providing evidence of co-financing from their own sources, can apply for grant financing. The grants will offset up to 30% of eligible investments, with a maximum ceiling set at $10,000 per beneficiary, and will be made available through the Agency for Agricultural Interventions and Payments. Funded equipment includes: seeders, choppers, sprinklers, no-till harvesters, strip-till harvesters (Strip-Till technologies), irrigation equipment and systems. At the same time, funding will be allocated for the implementation of agrotechnical, phytoremediation and hydrotechnical measures leading to soil improvement. The beneficiary will be eligible for only one post-investment grant. A complete list of eligible equipment and practices, details of eligibility criteria, and documents to be submitted to apply for funding can be found in the Grant Allocation Guide here https://www.capmu.md/wp-content/uploads/2022/09/MAC-P_MDT_MOG-260922.pdf // 05.10.2022 — InfoMarket
