Applications for subsidies of local action groups (LAGs) will be accepted from May 23.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food has announced the beginning of the first acceptance of documents for the selection of local action groups and approval of local development strategies. These are for advance grants from the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development. Applications will be accepted from May 23 through June 30. Applications for the selection of local action groups and approval of local development strategies for funding must be submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture in accordance with the previously approved form and approved list of documents. It is worth mentioning that up to 5% of the budget of the National Fund for Agricultural and Rural Development is planned to be allocated for local development through the implementation of the LEADER Program. By now there have been created about 50 LAGs in Moldova, uniting more than 400 administrative-territorial units, where more than 1 million people live. The LEADER program, a European instrument of state policy for rural development, has been implemented in Moldova since 2016. // 16.05.2022 – InfoMarket
