
In Moldova, the average selling prices of agricultural products by agricultural enterprises in the first quarter of 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, increased by 8.4%.
This was reported by the National Bureau of Statistics, noting that, at the same time, producer prices for crop products in January-March 2022, compared to the same period last year, increased by an average of 1.6%. This increase was mainly due to an increase in prices for rapeseed - by 2.2 times, soybeans - by 49.5%, sunflower - by 14.5%, vegetables - by 14.1%, table grapes - by 11%, potatoes - by 8.1%, barley - by 7.5%, wheat - by 4.7%. Herewith, producer prices for fruits decreased by 34.2%, and for corn - by 8.7%. Meanwhile, producer prices for livestock products in the first quarter of 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, increased by an average of 18.8%. Thus, selling prices for eggs increased by 23.8%, prices for livestock and poultry increased by 18.7% (including pork - by 28.5%, beef - by 25.2%, sheep meat and goats - by 14.9%, poultry meat - by 5.8%), milk - by 12.6%. The data of the NBS are presented for agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) enterprises with an area of agricultural land of 50 hectares or more (without data from enterprises and organizations on the left bank of the Dniester and Bender) and reflect the dynamics of average prices, based on the actual structure of their sales of agricultural products.// 06.05.2022 — InfoMarket
