Moldova will introduce a mechanism for partial compensation of excises on diesel fuel used by agricultural producers in 2022.
In particular, funds will be allocated from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas for partial compensation of excises on diesel fuel used by agricultural producers. This is envisaged by amendments to the Law on Principles of Subsidizing the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas, approved by Parliament. The document defines the procedure for providing financial resources for partial compensation of excises on diesel fuel used by agricultural producers to perform work in 2022. It was agreed that, in derogation from the Law on the Principles of Subsidizing the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas, the funds of the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas will be used in the amount and procedure established by the government to partially compensate for excise taxes on diesel fuel used by agricultural producers in 2022. As Vice-Chairman of the Commission on Agriculture and Food Industry Alexandr Trubca noted, in order to provide agricultural producers with funds, in the conditions of spring work, it is necessary to amend the said law so that, in derogation from it, the use of funds from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas is allowed for partial compensation of excises on diesel fuel for agricultural producers. This year, the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas is 1.75 billion lei. It is expected that 200 million lei of them will be distributed through the Agency for Interventions and Payments in Agriculture for partial compensation of excise taxes on diesel fuel used by agricultural producers.// 14.04.2022 — InfoMarket
