Applications for advance subsidies for land improvement investment projects are now open.

According to the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture, subsidies will be provided for measures to prevent and combat soil erosion, chemical reclamation of soils and measures to preserve and improve soil fertility. Financial assistance may be provided to legal entities or individuals who will own land (in ownership, possession or use) during the project implementation period and 5 years after the implementation of the investment. The total cost of the eligible project should not exceed 1 million lei, and the period of implementation - up to 5 years. The beneficiary of the subsidy should contribute at least 20% of the total cost of the investment project, and the budget may cover up to 80% of the project cost. Advance subsidies will be given in two tranches: the first 70% of the subsidy and the second 30%.
