Approximately 40% of the total number of medals received by companies in Moldova's wine sector were won by small wine producers – ONVV
As announced by the Director of the National Office of Vine and Wine, Stefan Iamandi, this is a fairly large share and a good result for small wine producers. According to him, the main sales market for small wine producers is the domestic market, where there is fierce competition, and the main export market is Romania. Stefan Iamandi emphasized that Moldovan wines from small producers are mainly represented on the Romanian market and are positioned there primarily in the premium segment. At the same time, an important advantage is their active presence in the HoReCa sector, where they promote their wines by constantly participating in tastings and competitions, competing on equal terms with much larger market players.
