Moldova has begun accepting applications for the "Golden Barrel 2026" competition

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova has announced the launch of the first regional stage of the "Golden Barrel" (Polobocul de Aur) competition for the best homemade wine and invites homemade wine producers from across the country to participate. Natural homemade wines, made from previous years' harvests, with no additives, must be submitted. The name of the wine, the year of production, and the grape varieties used must be indicated. To participate, two 0.75-liter samples must be submitted by March 13 to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moldova office in Chisinau. The national stage of the competition will take place on March 20. It is worth noting that over 450 amateur winemakers from approximately 20 regions of the country participate in the competition annually.
