As part of the 4th National Wine of Moldova Contest, local producers received a total of 120 medals, 9 of which are the highest award - the Grand Gold Medal

According to the National Office of Vine and Wine, the following wines received the highest award of the competition, the Grand Gold Medal: Domeniile Davidescu – Cabernet Sauvignon & Fetească Neagră 2021; Vinuri de Comrat – Saрeravi Bastardo Plai 2015; DIVUS Winery – ORNIS 2019; Gogu Winery – Metafora 2022; Radacini Wines – Fiori Fetească Neagră 2019; Cricova – Fetească Neagră Vin de colecție 2015; Apriori Maestro Secret Blend 2022; Crama Mircești – Cuvee Rouge 2020; Vinăria Javgur – Mariage Rouge 2021. These wines exceeded the threshold of 93 points, receiving recognition for their complexity and sophistication. The Moldovan Wine National Contest was organized in accordance with the standards of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), but the wines were evaluated on an even stricter scale than that used in international competitions. Wines that scored between 89 and 92.99 points were awarded a Gold Medal, while those that exceeded 93 points were awarded a Grand Gold Medal. This demanding system ensures that each medal reflects the excellence and potential of Moldovan wine. The competition confirmed the maturity and competitiveness of Moldova's wine industry. Its results highlight the ever-increasing quality of Moldovan wine, strengthening our country's position on the international wine map. The 2025 competition featured a jury of 12 international experts from 10 countries, including wine masters, oenologists, and university professors. They were joined by 13 local experts who were appointed to mixed commissions formed in accordance with OIV standards. They conducted a blind evaluation of more than 350 samples, ranging from still and sparkling wines to film wines, complex blends, and divins, paying special attention to both local and European varieties. The Wine of Moldova National Contest aims to promote Moldovan wine and recognize the achievements of producers who contribute to shaping the country's image as a leading wine-producing region. The contest is organized by the National Office of Vine and Wine with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and in partnership with associations of winemakers with protected geographical indications and other professional organizations.
