In Moldova, the process of periodic technical inspection of vehicles will be simplified and optimized.
For this purpose, the government approved the Regulations on the information resource generated by the Autotest information subsystem. As noted by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, the adopted document is the next step towards digitalization and is aimed at optimizing the processes of conducting periodic technical inspections, thereby ensuring efficiency, fairness and transparency. The Autotest Information System is part of the Integrated Management System through which all regulatory and supervisory activities carried out by the National Road Transport Agency are carried out. By its decision, the Cabinet of Ministers approved new provisions by establishing the basic functions and principles of the information subsystem, in particular, aspects that relate to: input, storage, management of data related to technical inspection; online local data storage; accounting, user management, user rights; providing information and storing it online at a central level to meet the National Road Transport Agency's internal information needs. A connection to the MConnect platform is also provided for the purpose of obtaining/providing data necessary for periodic inspection of the technical condition of road vehicles; access control to the information subsystem for technical inspection stations and their experts. It is planned that the exchange of information contained in national electronic databases will help improve the efficiency of the entire administrative chain and reduce costs, allowing the National Road Transport Agency's experts to do their work correctly, efficiently and effectively. // 10.01.2024 — InfoMarket.
